Legal information

Terms of use

Welcome to affrenchy.com. These terms govern the use of the site, of The Affrenchy Magazine and of the private salon of The Affrenchys. Browsing the site, subscribing to the magazine or creating an account means accepting them. The French version of these terms is the reference version.

1. Who publishes the site

The site affrenchy.com is published by Juliana Sofía Bernal Flórez, hereafter "the publisher", who can be reached at contact@affrenchy.com. Full details appear in the legal notice.

2. What the site offers

The site presents Affrenchy, the house a mother and her daughter are building in Paris for women who wear their grey, silver and white hair. It offers:

  • the book of our family story;
  • The Affrenchy Magazine, a new issue every Monday, to read on the site and receive by email;
  • The Affrenchys, a private salon reserved for registered members;
  • an address to write to us.

The site, the magazine and the salon are free.

3. Access to the site

The site is accessible at all times, subject to the interruptions needed for its maintenance or updates. The publisher does everything possible to keep it running. Internet access and the necessary equipment remain the responsibility of each visitor.

4. The Magazine's content

The articles inform and inspire. The science section draws on the experience of Dr Maritza Flórez, dermatologist and trichologist, and on the knowledge available on the date of publication. Some illustrations are created with artificial intelligence.

This content is general in scope. For any personal situation, hair loss, a question about your diet, an ongoing treatment, your doctor remains your reference: only they can make a diagnosis or prescribe.

5. The Affrenchy Magazine by email

Subscription

Subscribing requires a first name, an email address and acceptance of these terms and of the privacy policy by ticking a box. A confirmation email follows: the subscription becomes effective when you click the link it contains. Members of The Affrenchys can also tick the magazine box when creating their account, or in their profile.

Rhythm

A new issue comes out every Monday morning. Every issue remains available on the site, in the magazine's archives.

Unsubscribing

Every issue contains an unsubscribe link: one click is enough, at any time. A simple request to contact@affrenchy.com has the same effect.

6. The salon of The Affrenchys

Your account

The salon is reserved for adults who create an account with their first name, last name, email address, phone number and a pseudonym, and who accept the Kindness Charter and these terms. This information remains private, reserved for the Affrenchy team: only the pseudonym is visible to other members.

You enter the salon through a personal link sent by email. This link is strictly personal: keep it to yourself. One account corresponds to one person.

Your posts

You remain the author of your posts, replies and photos, and you are responsible for them. You share only content you have the right to share, and photos of people who have agreed. By posting, you authorise the publisher to display this content in the salon, to members only, for as long as it remains online. Any use outside the salon, in the magazine for example, always requires your prior written agreement.

Moderation

The Affrenchy team ensures respect for the Kindness Charter. It may remove or hide any post contrary to the charter, to the law or to the rights of others, issue a warning, and exclude a member, temporarily or permanently, according to the seriousness of the facts described in the charter. Every member can report content in one click: the team examines every report with care.

Leaving the salon

You can delete your account at any time, from your profile: your account, your posts and your replies are erased at once.

7. What we expect of everyone

Everyone uses the site in accordance with the law and its purpose, and expresses themselves courteously. Any attempt to disrupt the site, automated submissions, collecting other members' data or intrusion, is forbidden.

8. Intellectual property

The texts, photographs, illustrations, the Affrenchy name and logo are protected by the French Intellectual Property Code. Their reproduction, in whole or in part, requires the publisher's prior written authorisation. Short quotations of an article remain permitted, with mention of the source and a link to the page.

9. Links to other sites

The site links to our social networks, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube, and sometimes to scientific sources. These sites have their own terms; the publisher is responsible only for its own content.

10. Liability

The publisher ensures the accuracy and updating of the content it publishes. Posts in the salon engage their authors; the publisher acts promptly to remove any manifestly unlawful content reported to it. Its liability is excluded for temporary interruptions of the service and for the content of external sites.

11. Personal data

Your information stays with us, reserved for our team alone: it is used only for your account, for sending the magazine if you have chosen it, and to reply to you. Everything is detailed in the privacy policy.

12. Changes to these terms

These terms may change; the date of their last update appears at the top of the page. Any significant change is announced in the magazine and in the salon.

13. Applicable law

These terms are governed by French law. In case of disagreement, an amicable solution is sought first: write to us at contact@affrenchy.com. If the disagreement persists, the competent French courts may be seized, in compliance with the rules that protect consumers.
